Companion Services
Companion means a person who spends time with or cares for an elderly, handicapped, or convalescent individual and accompanies such individual on trips and outings and may prepare and serve meals to such individual. Duties include:
- Provide a comfortable pleasant and safe environment
- Meal preparation over breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack.
- Assist with phone calls and correspondence.
- Letter writing, Post cards, e-mails, personal notes…etc.
- Provide recreational activities such as listening to music, playing games.
- Friendly conversation
- Reading assistance
- Medication reminders
- Provide transportation of client to appointments, recreation, social events.
- Grocery shopping and errands.
- Accompanying the patient for a walk outside
- Monitoring the home
- Family web chat
Homemaker Services
Homemaker means a person who performs household chores that include housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, shopping assistance, and routine household activities for an elderly, handicapped, or convalescent individual This duties is provided to all our clients through the Companion Services .
In addition to these duties, the Homemaker Services includes other domestic activities such as:
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Washing dishes
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Changing linens
- Taking out the garbage
- Organization
